Any plant-lover knows that the last thing you want to do is shock your plants with a habitat they aren’t accustomed to.

Choose your garden ornaments wisely. Using labels for each type of plant is an excellent way to identify them and to teach visitors about the scientific names of plants. Labels are short and don’t take up too much space. Garden gnomes and other figures can be great ways to add character and personality to your garden. The main concerns are shade and overcrowding. If the décor you add is bulky and tall, it could be shading plants that need more sun exposure. If you add too many décor pieces around the plants they can become overcrowded and their growth is stunted.
